Woodacre's the Cat ("Mercury")
I got Mercury in July 2008. He was about four months old at the time and is my first cat. I initially got Mercury because I needed a cat to help me train Dino for his MAR dog training. I wanted to make sure that Dino was totally comfortable around cats.
I have trained Mercury to walk on a harness and a leash. Initially, of course, he wasn't too thrilled, but eventually I got him to walk down the street using a clicker and canned food as his reward for moving a few steps at a time. He has turned into a great cat and he loves the dogs. He is very big; at one year old he is seventeen pounds. He and Dino play all the time and he loves to sleep with Scout.
