Woodacre's Polka Dot TT ("Dot")
Dot was adopted from Trinity County Animal Shelter in Weaverville in October 2008. She was surrendered with seven one week old puppies.
Dot is in training as a scent specific tracking dog and is progressing quite well. On the weekend when she's not in training to look for lost pets, she participates in lure coursing and racing events through organizations like Living With Dogs in Santa Cruz, Luratics in San Diego and Borzoi Rescue Northern California in Sloughhouse.
In addition to lure coursing and racing, Dot has also started training in the sport of weight pulling. She has just started attending practice/conditioning sessions in Loomis and I hope to enter her in her first weight pulling event in November of this year.
