Putting up posters and flyers. As soon as you know your pet is missing, you need to start immediately to look for them. Time is critical. Start by notifying your local shelters. Then start putting up large, bright posters and fliers around your neighborhood. You can go directly to your neighbor's doors to hand them the fliers. Using a Trained Search Dog Through the use of a dog trained in search techniques to find lost animals, the chances are increased in finding animals.
I am a certified missing animal response technician (MAR tech) certified through Missing Pet Partnership after having taken a multi-day seminar in June 2007. My dog, Dino, is a scent specific trained tracking dog. This means he can follow the scent of a specific animal. He has trained specifically in urban and suburban environments, so following an animal anywhere in the San Francisco Bay Area is what he is comfortable with.
Though currently out of business and not doing searches you can still find helpful information on the website of Paws Lost Pet ServicesI worked with Donna for several months to train myself and my dog, Dino, to search for lost pets. Please visit that website to find out more about looking for your lost pet.
Using Intuition I have been trained by and taken many classes and seminars by Marta Williams, one of the top animal communicators in the field. As a trained pet detective I have found myself using intuition in my physical search for lost pets. I would be willing to have a separate intuitive session to attempt to find your pet if your pet is not found in a physical search, or if a physical search is not possible due to length of time or distance.
Pet Tattooing I also do pet tattooing and registration for all animals. This is a permanent and unique number tattooed on the inside flank, belly or ear. To be used along with microchipping, this is a permanent and visible means of identification. Collars and tags can be removed or lost. Microchips are easily missed or ignored. Tattoos are neither.
For more information phone me or email mail for more information or setting up a clinic for multiple animals.
You can also visit Tattoo-A-Pet for more information about tattooing and the benefits.
